Mr. Tan have multiple experiences in both technical and management outfits. He is a Mech. Engineer graduated from UTM and a MBA (general) from University of Hull. He is also certified in Certificate in Vocational Education and Training, CVET as well as the Australian Certificate IV TAE 40110 in Training and Education obtained through the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre, SHRDC-BoxHill Institute.
He has worked in a 6-Sigma multi-national company as a Process Engineer in the areas of process improvement, industrial engineering and maintenance. Over the years he had actively participate in technical and manufacturing projects such as process design & qualification, manufacturing line transfer and improvement program through the QCC team structure. Hence, he has involved several projects related to Lean manufacturing and TPM.
On contrary, Mr. Tan also have management experiences in a conglomerate that involve in the implementation of management and business improvement activities such as Strategic Management, TQM, 6-Sigma, Lean, Quality System Review, teambuilding, etc. He provides training and facilitates strategic management to senior staffs for organizational change through formulation of company Vision & Mission Statement and productivity improvement methodologies.
Besides the experiences above, Mr. Tan was also involve with the Human Resource Management as a HR Manager in the area of organizational change through training / facilitation / coaching, teambuilding, performance management, employee relation, industrial relation & trade unions, recruitment, event management (annual dinner, sports, treasure hunt, convention, etc.), training need analysis, communication (newsletter publishing), safety, security, etc.
Currently in his business, he is also involved with a media industry to co-produce and host / interview business owners for a local business program.
